How to use it
- Paste the text to encrypt.
- Enter a password of at least 8 characters.
- Select Run and copy the encrypted text.

Good to know
Each encryption adds random salt and a random IV, so the same text gives different results every time.
Privacy: where the work happens
Everything you enter or choose is processed by JavaScript in your browser and never sent anywhere. Only the page code, and any library this tool needs, is downloaded from cdnjs or jsDelivr.
Questions
How strong is it?
It uses AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password using PBKDF2. Strength depends mostly on how strong your password is.
What if I forget the password?
Nothing can recover the text. There is no reset.
