Handy for
Checking that two texts match and creating hashes for tests.
Good to know
The same text always produces the same hash, and one changed character produces a completely different result. That makes hashes useful for checking that two copies match.

Questions
Is MD5 available?
No. Browsers do not include MD5, and it is no longer safe for security uses.
Can a hash be reversed?
No, hashes are one-way. Short or common inputs can still be guessed, so do not rely on a plain hash to protect passwords.
