Good to know
Text is converted as UTF-8 first, so non-English characters survive a round trip. Decoding fails on text that is not valid Base64.

Questions
Is Base64 encryption?
No. It only changes how data is written, and anyone can decode it. Never use it to protect secrets.
Does it accept URL-safe Base64?
Yes. Dashes and underscores are converted automatically when decoding.
